Groups of 9-24 guests are invited to join us in the Port Room for a private wine tasting experience. Choose from a variety of special tastings tailored just for groups, including Estate Tastings, Reserve Tastings, and Wine & Small Bites Pairings. Enjoy a guided wine tasting featuring five wines served by our knowledgeable team, or elevate your experience with a selection of our reserve offerings. For a complete sensory journey, opt for our Wine & Small Bites Tasting, which pairs your wine with delicious small bites from Ellera. Each tasting takes place in our cave-like Port Room with a dedicated host to ensure a memorable experience.
WINEMAKER TASTING
TOUR & BARREL TASTING: LEARN FROM OUT GENERATIONAL FRENCH WINEMAKER
Join Flat Creek Estate’s winemaker, Olivier de Certaines, on the first and third Saturdays of every month for an exclusive behind-the-scenes wine tasting experience. The Winemaker’s Series begins with a tour of the vineyard, where you’ll enjoy a glass of wine and learn about the science and art of winemaking. Explore the process further with two cellar tasting pours and a delightful charcuterie spread in the barrel room, while Olivier explains how wine ages. The experience culminates in Trooper’s Den with a microscopic view of the microorganisms that contribute to the final product. This educational and engaging 90-minute event promises a unique insight into winemaking and a deeper appreciation for the wines you savor.

Olivier De Certaines, a distinguished winemaker from the picturesque vineyards of Beaujolais, France, now leaves his mark on Texas winemaking as the esteemed winemaker at Flat Creek Estate in Marble Falls. With a background steeped in winemaking tradition under the guidance of his grandfather, Louis De Certaines, Olivier’s early years in France laid the groundwork for his career. He furthered his expertise with formal education in biology and winemaking, and refined his skills in Victoria, Australia, before bringing his passion to the Texas Hill Country in 2016. At Flat Creek Estate, Olivier crafts exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Texas Hill Country, blending tradition with innovation. His meticulous approach and dedication continue to produce award-winning wines, showcasing a delicate balance of flavors and textures that captivate wine enthusiasts.
